Gals Day In Wickenburg

We have been friends since we were in grade school in Wickenburg.  At least once a month we try to get together to eat, laugh, and have girl-time.  We ventured to Wickenburg hoping to visit with some of the other gals that still live in Wickenburg.  There were two that joined us and, of course, we had Mexican food.  I guess if you live in the southwest, you have to have Mexican food.

Pat, Claudia & I are the only ones still working part-time.
Are you still in touch with your classmates?

Sightings

No, not UFOs....but, some beauties that are easy on the eyes.

This is a Chevrolet SSR.  Chevrolet stopped making them.

I spotted this in a parking lot...1934 something.  But, what a beauty.

This is a 1955-1957? Chevrolet.  Luv the Cobalt blue.  It was For Sale

What was your favorite car in your teenage years?
I'd have to say I'm partial to trucks.

Yard Sale Find

On Friday I was at the farmer's market and in my driving around, I found an estate sale with these prints.  I could not resist.

Now, do I frame them, find a place for them, or list them on ebay?

Day at the Nursery

Wednesday is usually a day that I do not go into the office.   Wednesday is also senior discount day at the nursery.  And, since I won't be able to go next Wednesday because I'm having lunch with a classmate/friend from Las Vegas at White Chocolate, I thought I'd better get to the nursery today.  This is what I found.

This is an Early Girl.  I'm trying it this year.

These are cherry tomatoes.

Then, Sheri showed me these.  They are blue/purple Verbena.  I could not resist as I think the color is just beautiful.

While I was out in the yard, I noticed that the African Daisies were blooming and if the storm comes, there won't be much of them left.

These always bring such a cheerfulness when they are looked at.  They come back every year without seeding.

I didn't plant the tomatoes because I forgot to stop by the grocery store and get some bananas to put in the bottom before I plant the tomatoes.  Will do that tomorrow if it doesn't rain too heavy.

Collages

I have been experimenting with collages in Picasa and while they are still symmetrical, I have to get used to the idea of off balance pictures.  I'll work on that.

They still don't looks as clear as I would like but I don't know if I can make them any better.  Will have to study on that.  And, what do you know, red for Valentine's Day.

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's day.

Water Fountain

I decided to take my iron bed apart & use the head part & the foot part for garden art.  Here is the foot part.  I'll show you the head part another time.

I think this needs some greenery.  I'll work on that!

This is a windchime that I picked up at Goodwill.  Luv the dragon fly.

This is a hummingbird feeder but too fragile to use it for such.
I so luv the color of red in the tubes.
They often try to get juice out of it.
There R other places for them to feed.

There seems to be a frog everywhere.

I found this water fountain at a yard sale years ago.
The water splashes hard & isn't as soothing as I'd like it to be.
I've tried marbles, cups, rocks...to quiet the sound.

This is an old blue pot I got from my dad many many years ago.

The weather is starting to get beautiful in Arizona and it will soon be time for planting.  What's on your list when spring comes?
