Friends

Saturday brought rain, cloudiness & cold.  Somewhat unusual for Arizona but the rain was welcomed.  Also welcomed was some friends I had not seen in three years.  DJ moved to Portland three years ago and she was the glue to our monthly luncheons.  The other three still live in Arizona.

We had lunch at Los Olivos in Scottsdale, Arizona.  You guessed it, Mexican food.  DJ says she can't find good Mexican food in Portland.

How often do you stay in touch with friends?
Merry Christmas.

  1. I'm lucky my friends live nearby. It's the relatives that are distant. My niece lives in Portland. She took me out to eat Mexican food. That was the strangest meal I ever had. It to Mexican what Chef Boyardee is to Italian.

  2. Not as often as I should, I'm sorry to say. I love good Mexican food.

  3. I only have a handful of "true best friends," (that's all you need, right?) & we see it each other at least every other year (they all live in OR/WA), but talk often on the phone and through email. When we do get together, it's like we were never apart. That's the best kind of friendship to have!

Sounds like you had a great time with your friends, & I'm so glad!

  4. Los Olivos has great Mexican food but it's been some time since I last ate there.

I am so fortunate to have many true friends. God has blessed me with them. And most of them I met in church. However, I still have many friends I've known since childhood in NY. We often stay in touch through Facebook.

    Merry Christmas to you!

    Blessings and love,
    Debbie
