Hi Joani: We used to see a lot of quail where I grew up. I always loved their little 'parades' down the country roads with all the family in tow. And I really miss their sweet sounds. I don't ever see them where I am now..Happy Weekend..Judy
I'll never get why nature made the males (animals) so handsome...thank goodness that is not true in humans...Ha! I finally have some quail in my yard after almost twenty years here.
Nice to hear from you, Joani! Your photos are as lovely as ever. We don't see a lot of quail in our neighborhood, but we did see an entire family a few days ago when we were walking. That poor momma saw us coming and wasn't sure if she wanted her babies crossing the path ahead of us or not. She really had her hands (or wings) full -- it was like herding cats......we just cracked up!
