Weathering the HEAT
This time of year the HEAT is on and we are lucky if anything stays alive no matter how we are watering, shading, etc., etc. There has been no rain in I don't know how many days. My grandfather used to say that it would really have to get hot before there would be any rain and by the weekend we will be hitting 118+ degrees F.
I'm sharing what there is in my backyard that I'm able to share.
I don't know how I got into birdhouses but it is one of my many collections. And, this bunny was just so cute I couldn't leave him at Goodwill all alone. And, as you can see there is a little green...salvia and a petunia are struggling.

I love your birdhouses and the sweet little Goodwill bunny! The heat is on here in MO, too. It's overcast today, so that helps a wee bit. We were away for a few days and it was so HOT! I think we'll rethink travel plans for June again.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week and I hope you get some rain soon!
Cool stuff.
ReplyDeleteLove the birdhouses against the red pot background! Cute little rabbit, too!
ReplyDeleteOur temperatures in Mississippi get up to about 105F, but not yet this year, thank the Good Lord.
Have a wonderful day!

ReplyDeleteSo cute!! Thanks so much for stopping by and for your encouraging words!! I am trying to put off a Knee Replacement for another 5-6 years. I need to lose about 50-60 pounds and have lost 24 so far.

I know that day that it reached 119, I thought my brain was going to melt and my eyeballs even hurt! The things we live with here in the AZ summer desert so we can enjoy all the rest of the year -- oh my! They say the monsoons are coming, maybe later this week. Fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteI agree, I wouldn't be able to leave that cutee too! Love your birdhouses Joani, I need to get some of my own for our teeny garden on the back!
