A road trip to Wickenburg yesterday via SR 74 and we were stopped because they were paving and we had to wait for our turn. I always have one of the cameras in the car or in my purse and I was able to snap these photos of the Arizona desert. Enjoy.
I have driven across Arizona several times, and I am always fascinated by the landscape. It is like a different planet from where I live, it is completely different, but beautiful. Although, for some reason, it is almost scary to me, I can't imagine being on foot there in the dark, when I am perfectly happy being so here. Thanks for sharing. It is good that you can make use of your time when you are stuck in traffic.
I used to grab my camera every time we left in the car, but I haven't been doing that lately. I try to take pictures with my phone, but they are less than great. You've inspired me to grab my good camera more often. Great pictures!
I sure wish that was my view out the window this morning! Got a near white out here...it must have snowed most of the night...not many venturing out today...darn, I missed my pool time.
Brought back nice, WARM memories of our few trips there. DH would choose it for retirement. I'd oblige if there was oceanfront! Guess you can't have both in AZ. :-)
Arizona here we come. Our family is planning a trip there. Great photos of the Arizona desert. Good thing you packed the camera in the car. JM Illinois
I have seen these shots many times from other blogger friends, as they say if you've seen one, you've seen them all. But, a big but, everytime i see one, my eyes always linger in them, as if I've always seen them the first time. Thanks for showing these to me, because i might not see them personally in this lifetime!

Great photos, Joani. I can't wait to visit Arizona again. Hopefully this year, if I have anything to say about it! I fell in love with the southwest when we vacationed there a few years ago and I've wanted to go back ever since.
Beautiful! I love the southwest. I've vacationed there more than anywhere else. And it's the only area I want to vacation. I feel God more when I'm there.
